Offer and conditions of play

Organizational information and conditions for playing with us

Rules of the space

OCSK Postoj is a stimulant-free zone (alcohol, drugs). You cannot consume them or be under their influence in our space. We create a safe space also for addicts.

Smoking is allowed only outside in a designated area.

Anti-fascist space. We have no place for fascism, sexism, racism, anti-Semitism, homo/trans/queerphobia, hatred.

Cash

We can't provide a financial guarantee because we are a small, grassroots venue, but almost all of the gate money goes to the artists.
We organize concerts on the basis of splitting 70% of the gate proceeds for the artists, 30% for our costs. All performers must agree among themselves how they will divide the money after the concert - we usually do this at the end of the event. Most often the split is equal, although there are times when artists on tour receive a larger share than local artists. However, we cannot guarantee a specific amount. The total gate income usually ranges from 50 to 500 euros (200-2000 zlotys), and most often it is around 100 euros (500 zlotys).
On our part, we always take care of the promotion of the concert - we work intensively on the Internet and hang posters in Wroclaw. We provide a sound engineer, we try to take good photographs. We create a unique atmosphere, provide a vegan dinner and free accommodation (8-10 people).

Promotion and poster

Help us promote the concert - invite friends, share the event on social media, put up posters, etc.

Let us know if you will prepare the poster yourself. If not, we can take care of it. However, if you decide to make it yourself, please include the following information:

  • “A space that is safe and free of alcohol and drugs” (or similar wording),

  • “Grassroots Social and Cultural Center Postoj” or ‘OCSK Postoj’,

  • our address: Wroclaw, 59b Metalowców Street,

  • the date, time of the event and the amount of the contribution (usually 30 zloty) - we follow the principle of “give as much as you can, but we suggest X zloty”,

  • our logo, which can be downloaded here: https://postoj.org/logo/.

If the concert was to be held under the auspices of the Never Again Association as part of the Music Against Racism campaign, we encourage you to put their logo on the poster. You can find them at the same link.

Online event

Let us know if you will create a social media event yourself, or if we should do it. If you create it, we would like us to be tagged as co-organizers (where possible, such as on Facebook).

We also ask that the event description include:

  • information about alcohol- and drug-free space,

  • the amount of the contribution,

  • our address.

(As in the point about the poster)

Other artists / support

Let us know if you want to look for other artists to play together on your own, or if we should help you. If you take care of it on your own, please forward this message to them so they know the rules of our space.

Other information

Security

In 2023 we were attacked twice by fascists. The attacks did not take place during events, however, we also take care of security during events.

We have a high fence, alarms and a code-locked gate. People at the gate and in the bar have personal defense equipment.

Food

We do not bring meat into the area.

Many of the products consumed and prepared are freegan or vegan, but we take care of the quality.

Hate, slander

In addition to physical attacks, we also face political slander and hate campaigns.
Some circles are trying to boycott us because of our opposition to anti-Semitism, among other things.

Nudity

Please do not expose your nipples - you can take off your shirt, but your nipples must be covered (e.g. with tape or a patch). This is important because of concern for those with bad experiences with nudity and for feminist reasons.

Accommodation conditions

If the temperature drops, we heat the house with a fireplace in the living room.

We cook on a gas stove and a traditional oven.

Guests sleep mostly in the living room. We have a comfortable place for 6 people, the maximum we can accommodate is 8-10 people.

We have some blankets and quilts, but please bring your own sleeping bags.
